How We Create Your Vision
JML Construction Services is a licensed and insured General Contractor experienced with outdoor kitchen construction. JML can handle all required permitting and works with our Client’s defining the scope of the project and the associated cost. Our process
is to spend the time necessary upfront exploring options on materials, layout, and equally important desired functionality (entertaining/part of a pool or hot tub layout/on a deck/under a pergola). To achieve that goal, we will spend time with our Client reviewing
the features so we understand the Client’s vision and can capture that in a well-defined scope of work that we can then price out.
Below is a list of the type of items we discuss with the Client in scope development:
Functionality
This is very important to discuss first so we fully understand what the Client wants and how we can provide that in design and selection of materials.
Design Features
Type of countertop – - stone (natural or manmade) - stainless steel - tile - concrete - corian Type of cladding - - stack stone - stucco - wood (redwood/cedar/other) - composite decking/PVC decking/composite cladding - incorporate room for eating at the cook island Location - - positioned on a deck - under a pergola - on a patio - integrated into a larger hardscaping project (and using matching / contrasting materials and colors)
What Features Need to be Incorporated Into the Cook Island:
- Will the client provide a pre-fabricated unit (assembly at the site or modular) - Type of insert grill (size/BTU/propane/natural gas) - Stainless steel cabinets - Stainless steel drawers - Refrigerator - Functional sink (JML can provide the plumbing connections to the house) - Power for appliances (JML can provide the power connections to the house - Garbage disposer for the sink - Pull out trash containers - Task lighting
